One of the most recognizable artists in the realm of Japanimation-style art, Takashi Murakami has been exhibited in museums all over the world. Born in Tokyo, in 1963, Murakami received his PhD from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
His mediums range from canvas and sculpture to watches and T-shirts. Along with being an artist, Takashi Murakami is an entrepreneur and a curator. He has also been responsible for launching the careers of several other Japanese artists as the curator of a major Japanese exhibition, Superflat.

Ever since the success of the 80s television sensation, Miami Vice, where the city of Miami is a virtual character, Miami-Dade and Miami Beach have been the backdrop for several other television series.
Currently, there seems to be a television boom taking place in Miami, with at least 7 prime time television shows on-air, not counting Spanish television and upcoming series like Bravo’s “Miami Social” (working title, “Fabulous People of Miami”), a show produced by Pink Sneakers, the same producers of “Brooke Knows Best”.
The following is a list and short description of just some of the shows filmed right here in Miami.
Dexter
Every
Sunday night at 9 p.m. on Showtime, “Dexter” is a drama about Dexter
Morgan, a serial killer by night and a blood splatter analyst for the
Miami Dade Police Department by day.
Brooke Knows Best
On VH1, I can’t figure out the appeal to this show but I can’t look away. As a Miami
native, you can’t help but watch and point out the places you've
visited for years as they flash across the screen. And of course,
Brooke.
Ocean Force
Mondays
at 8 p.m. on TruTV, This reality show follows lifeguards on South Beach
as they save lives and lock up drunks, in that order.
Burn Notice Thursdays at 10 on USA.
I‘ll tell you the truth, even after reading a plot summary, I still
don’t know what this show is about… might have something to do with
spies.
